Anyone can try, but it's a vampire spell so if you don't have innate vampire magic active, it will start by activating it from scratch (similar to Alissa's spell) which will take the same time as that spell before the opening takes place.

Stare at it, or stare long enough that you can bring it up from photographic memory while chanting the formula. You need to "see" the sigil while chanting for full effect, it needs to be fed into your mind one way or another to increase the definition of what the spell does.

It can work if done with full focus, but I'd recommend 3 times with full focus. The reading is a bit unusual so try to read it a few times until it sounds right, you will notice the effect when it activates.
