Yeah I agree with the editing being nowhere near as good as it could be. But I think vaporwave (which isn't necessarily depressing, btw) goes well with Ciara precisely because she looked happy in her videos, but hid a ton of misery behind the smiles. A somber vaporwave track adds to the contrast, the nostalgia, and the feeling of emptiness which alludes to such trademark BPD symptom which she (and her orbiters, in other ways) suffered from.
