I agree with most of what you said. If Ciara actually survived, it wouldn't make a difference if they said she was dead or alive. If they say she's dead, people will doubt it and try to figure out for themselves; if they say she's alive, people would still try to figure out for themselves where she's living, to no avail. In the former case, they would have to put a tremendous effort into pretending she's dead when they could just admit she's alive and not reveal anything about her whereabouts. Everything is much easier that way. I think this argument is the strongest case for her likely being dead, even though all we can do for now is speculate and argue since there is no concrete evidence.
