She was a highly damaged nerd girl and needed serious intervention when she was a little kid. Once she was 14 and introduced to hard drugs it was unironically OVER with no coming back. Other than being young, cute, and able to temporarily put on a cute girl persona, she had no positive traits and just brought misery to everyone around her.

The time to intervene was when she was like 5, not 19 with a benzo/heroin addiction. Her mom alludes to her not talking for a long time, which implies some very serious developmental or psychological disorder outside of borderline PD.
