Ciara-san just wanted to party and get high but didn't want to die. She was just in a stupid state after overdosing so not in the right mind. JT was just a kid and your first instinct is to "not get into trouble". He could have easily just called a cab, drove Ciara to the hospital, and made up some story that absolves him of any connection so he can skidaddle. If he got her to the hospital she'd have lived for sure. It was that 2nd dose before going to bed and her OD'ing when they were sleeping that finished her off.
