Look, I haven't actually seen Buffalo '66, and I didn't say it was bad. But it's just a fact that in recent years this film has become immensely popular with a certain type of e-girl, particularly the DDLG-type girls I see post about it all the time, the types of girls who are more interested in things for the "aesthetic" they aim to project than for any genuine interest in film or art. I didn't make any comment about the artistic merit of the film itself, though I do think that, often, the kind of people who are interested in or attracted to a thing may say something about the thing itself. Admittedly, it's put me off from watching it, perhaps not wholly justifiably, though I didn't have any great interest in it in the first place—I recall watching one of Gallo's other films, The Brown Bunny, quite a while ago, around when I had first started to take an interest in film, and, truth be told, I didn't think very highly of it—but if everyone here is so enamoured with it I'll give it a watch if I get a chance.
