This guy is obviously not the obsessive orbiter they are trying to make him out to be. He was likely asking simple questions to get to know her, which is how all conversations start, while she never asks anything back.
No one was pointing a gun to her head. She talked to him, wrote paragraphs and digressed about herself because she was enjoying it.
