What surprised me the most is that her personality hasn't changed at all. She had dark times and matured a lot and became a lot more thoughtful in how she wrote, but its all so HER. Ive never seen someone so consistently themselves from the start of puberty to adulthood. Like I want to kill my 14 year old self but she was already so much like who she is now at that age. It's weird because she was so isolated most of her teen years. I think most people delt her card would turn out psychotic. But somehow she rolled with everything even when she was obviously miserable. It made me weirdly sad reading some of the older posts. She was so naive, still is. But thats just who she is. I dont mean shes innocent or anything. Shes probably seen worse shit than I have. Shes just so hopeful in spite of everything. Inbetween all the posts about sad things there was always some post about hope. Its crazy how many patterns you see when actually looking close. Idk if she can even be called mentally ill anymore. I guess she is but it only affects her own self.
