I don't think Bonbi was ever going to be someone who was that organized and goal-oriented (as you describe streamers needing to be)... That's what made her so Goddamned special once upon a time. She just DID things. They came out of her naturally. You might as well expect a wild animal or a flower to make plans for the future. I think that wild following of impulse is what made Bonbi Bonbi.
That is why I think even in the golden time a person might've been able to perceive a sense of doom about all this. What chance was there that Bonbi would really remain 'our' Bonbi... She was was very suggestible and open to impressions or something. I think it left her defenseless against bad influences.
