Some people use the excuse of 'helping' to do whatever they want. Somehow they are helping but also creating problems, an excuse to do morally doubtful stuff. It is an immoral trick that fools a lot of humans, specially religious/innocent/naive people/children. So, beware of pretending to help you, specially 'ideas of helping' coming from intelligent people/beings with power.
