Understanding what someone says is not equal to agree with it.
The confusion between understanding and agreeing happen a lot between humans in real live interactions, because they (specially woman) seek validation of what they believe (and their feelings), and not seek the (harsh/complex) truth.
Because we understand humans, it doesn't mean that we agree with them in a lot of things.
