Because atheists don't believe in the after life, they believe that there is no reward or punishment for their actions after their body die. Because of that, some atheists, have a tendency to live an immoral life (some even illegal one).
It is rare that atheists want to join God's Community, but it is possible if they seek a moral life. We seek to have an eternallife. If everything goes as intended, we will have no after life because we'll be always alive.
