We don't expect big problems from overpopulation in a short period of time, maybe, if the current growth continues, Earth's population could have issues. While in history of Earth humans, most of reduction of population came from big wars and illnesses, currently there are no big wars and there is a nonexistent pandemic, so the number of humans potentially could be too high in a distant future.
While some governments try to have strict birth control policies in order to control the number of people of their country (like China), we suggest "the conquer of space" (>>679), with projects of terraforming/terraformation of Mars, spaceships with their own gravity and stuff like that, so people don't have to worry about too much people around, there is enough universe for humans.
