You were on a huge sandship going along side him, and you had to shoot him with ballistas. Eventually he would get close enough for you to walk onto his back, and you could mine ore and attack some spots on him.
There's also a gong you use to stun him, and a dragonator on the front of the ship you gotta use to stop him from charging it.
In 4u there's a variation where he actually sorta beaches, and you have to fight him on foot. He's a big boy.
