Killing feral pigs is complicated, since killing the entire sounder is necessary, as any remainder will not only multiply rapidly to replacement, but actually "teach" future generations how to avoid the traps, or human intervention to reduce their numbers. Making elimination of future entire sounders even more difficult.
There can quite literally be an arms race between feral hogs, and those that "exterminate" them.

To that end, ""feral hog extermination"" in Texas is a legitimate, and significant industry, with no actual interest in actually ending the "problem" since it, well, generates money for the industry.

Wanna go hog ""hunting"" in Texas, Chain?
You can do it from a helicopter. With machine guns.
