Lotsa talk about a "peace" deal, that it's practically signed and whatever. Details are hazy and can't really know. There are some statements both from Washington and Tehran, and from commentators all around which not help judging what's real. The Trump admin has a reason to keep details hushed up and denied too, since they made an utter clown of themselves during this whole ordeal and the No1 power of the world came out worse as they went in.
Major obstacle is Israel. Iran wants em to stop their campaign in Lebanon, they don't want to hear about it. Apparently. But I don't think they do it without checking in Washington, I suspect it's a coordinated tactic by them. Perhaps to gain time for whatever Israel think still needs to be done.
One sure thing, perhaps the only sure thing, is that Iran won't make an A-bomb. Which they didn't want in the first place. What other agreement will be in effect in case of the whole nuclear program - uranium enrichment, power plants, "uranium dust", etc. - I don't think it can be known yet. Obama had a deal which Trump scuttled.
Strait of Hormuz will be open. According to Trump no toll. But this isn't sure either. And they say it will be a slow process until it opens. Mines apparently. I heard from Marandi Iran never layed mines. Which I suspect it's true because how else the ships that payed the toll to Iran sailed through?
There is a big number floated: $300 billion investments in Iran, by US and Gulf States. Can considered as reparation.
Iran's frozen assets will be unfrozen. Or some of it. $10-25 billion. Or none.
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/6/16/iran-war-day-109-tehran-washington-sign-mou-electronically>Vance has published a video on X and called the deal with Iran a “win-win for the American people”.Win-win means a win for both sides. Win for Iran and win for US. Is Vance mentally disabled?
And now that we are at Vance. He wasn't really close to the conflict, but now he seems all around. Curious.
