>I wasn't. The hate was on the fandom in general.
alright, but watching brony cringe compilations doesn´t show you how the fandom is nowadays

>Same with ponyfags. I've seen pics of those conventions. Do you expect me to find many right wingers or centrist there? If the main fansite is SJW and with a lot of fandom activity is centered on tumblr and reddit do you expect me to consider the tiny portion that post in chans to be representative of the main group? I'm not saying the anons here are but you get what I mean. Even then that still doesn't stop them from being wizardchan wannabes. I'm not a /pol/ack though, just someone who has a distaste for degenerates.

what pictures have you watched anyway? Tell me the date but I am guessing that you have not seen beyond 2013. Back then, there were people from Tumblr and they mostly left in 2015.

>I'm judging it based on what I've seen of it. Which is like a few clips back in 2012 when you guys were peak shrills and nagging everyone about it.
2012. That says everything, the peak of its popularity by fans and fans of the fandom. That´s right, most people who went over there didn´t watch the series and they felt like jumping on the latest trend with the line: "love and tolerate" and memes like "20% cooler" and such.
You know, I had seen that before watching the series too but that attitude depends on the individual, not in the collective. If you are thinking that we are all pedophiles, autists, mentally handicapped and mindless all the time, you are wrong. In fact, the fandom has remained silent and less noisy when Tumblr people left MLP and jumped onto another trends like Steven Universe and Undertale. You won´t find much material from 2014 on wards because there is basically nothing to point and cringe. Maybe internal drama and problems here and there, but not the noise you have seen from the documentaries. It´s really easy to judge people just for the same videos over and over again and complain on the internet without knowing how the actual deal is.

>I'm not saying the show is bad. In fact, for a little girl's show that was meant just to shrill for toys it's goes way beyond what it has any right to be from what I remember.
The fandom is not necessary in order to enjoy the series but it´s true that its support has made it longer than usual. In fact, the 1st episode as a villain right away and the 7th one has the moral of "Don´t judge a book by its cover".

>I could ever understand the praise lavished on the show by the adults.
I asked myself that as well. The best advice that I could give to you is: Dailymotion or Yayponies--->Season 1 Episode 1----> letting yourself go despite their colors and judge it for yourself if it´s good or bad. Pretty simple.
