>This is a lot of shit to look though, not sure if I'll look through all of it. I really am at a loss for words at the DBZ fight. That was too much for a show aimed at little girls.
Yeah, I would imagine that it´s a lot of content to judge but as you had asked how this show worked and that this would never happen....I wasn´t joking. I was warning that you shouldn´t judge a book by its cover...and much less when this generation (gen 4 is the one from this decade) has been so successful in general, the most profitable and the longest series for Hasbro so far. That alone should make someone ask how this has happened and the reasons behind its appeal. It´s not a masterpiece either, it does have some stinkers here and there, but the series has kept a good health during all these years. After its hype gone, these two years (2017 with season 7 and the movie) and 2018 with a good 1st half, FiM has managed to stand alone by itself.
I am only showing you some parts of it.
>On the one hand this was more along the lines when I think of My Little Pony, good enough for a kid show but I felt hypergay watching it. Can't believe there would be a 1984 subtext in that. Almost seems too on the nose with the equals signs but I can't hate it, compared to how most media would be with this.
You feel hypergay because you are not used to the coloring and it kind of clashes to eyes at first. I actually had to hide it the first months and check myself if I would be holding the LGBT flag after the first day of watching it but then, it doesn´t impact that much.
And yeah, the equal signs are creepy. We all said before it aired that it felt like MLP visited North Korea. It has the moral of "Everyone is different" but with pretty close references to the actual marxism. The sign of equality is stealing their marks and putting the equal sign to their bodies, feeling unnatural and devoid of energies and will to have a proper personality. It has another scene with the megaphone, with the mane 6 locked in a room, listening to the propagandist message during all the day. Brainwashing at its finest

>That did feel a bit creepy. Can't say much more then that.
Yeah, those stains on Fluttershy´s body in that video are like an analogy of having a terminal disease. The episode doesn´t feel creepy by itself but it has a concept that genuinely puts you that way.
