I don't browse this board but since I happened to come across this thread I might as well reply.

The reason I only put up comments when requested is that the way things are set up I can only generate the comments pages for videos that have also been uploaded. This could be changed, but I haven't had the time to work on this stuff. Also I wouldn't want to generate comments pages for hundreds of thousands of videos.

And yes, definitely do your own archival too! Redundancy is very good, and I don't want people to rely on me with no backup. Please continue archiving shit on your own.
