some service provider is going to provide a 'space based' web hosting service, where the "server racks" are housed on orbiting satellites

this service provider will maintain the satellite link on their end, and will have an internet facing routing service (here on earth) that routes internet traffic to the orbiting servers through some kind of satellite link.

I am assuming this satellite link will be using KU band, or some generation of the LiFi that is currently being deployed to replace radio wave based communications.

Light beam comms would have astronomical bandwidth (pun intended) as well as incredibly low latency (what is the speed of light again?)
