President to host MAGA event today with Candace Owens

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump is planning to hold his first public event since he tested positive for the coronavirus, speaking at a Saturday gathering at the White House in a show of defiance that has become a central theme of his reelection campaign.

The event – scheduled to feature Trump speaking from a balcony to a crowd of supporters on the South Lawn.

As the president prepared to participate in a televised medical evaluation on Fox News on Friday evening, his aides began to plan for what they described as a triumphant return to campaigning in the wake of his diagnosis and four-day hospitalization.

Trump’s campaign announced that he would lead a rally in Florida on Monday at an airport hangar, similar to the events he had been doing before his diagnosis. Trump will speak to a group today organized by Candace Owens, focusing his remarks on “law and order,” according to an official.
