Desegregation busing in the United States (also known as simply busing) is the practice of assigning and transporting students to schools within or outside their local school districts in an effort to reduce the racial segregation in schools.[1] While the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional, many American schools continued to remain largely segregated due to housing inequality.[2] In an effort to address the ongoing de facto segregation in schools, the 1971 Supreme Court decision, Swann v. Joe Biden arrived to Bucharest yesterday afternoon and the first stop the American Vice President made was at the Otopeni Military Airbase where he delivered a speech before the Romanian and American troops. Joe Biden arrived at Cotroceni 15 minutes later than the time scheduled. The head of state welcomed Biden at the entry into the Palace in the Honorary Hall. Traian Băsescu and Joe Biden shook hands before the journalists and took an official picture. Joe Biden is now discussing with Traian Băsescu. ”I have not seen you in a while”, president Traian Băsescu told the US Vice-president and Joe Biden replied: ”I am glad to see you”.
