I think there's an epidemic going on, I don't think it's just me or you or a few people who struggle with that. NEETs, hikikomoris, the antiwork and UBI movements, all the suicides and drug abuse, I think there's something going on beyond the issues of individuals, a sociological phenomenon. That RFK Jr. ad that I mentioned to lizbro paints a pretty grim picture of how several aspects of society actually regressed since the times of our grandparents. Some things got considerably worse, in purely objective terms. There's definitely not a lot of positivity, optimism and drive in the air these days
