What do you do when you're dealt a bad hand? You lose. As far as I can tell that's how it goes, in card games and in life. Of course you can still play the game, you can still get lucky, maybe even win the lottery and enjoy material comfort, but there's no starting over with a better hand. In the end you're still going to lose. It's all for naught. That's looking at life from a perspective that conforms to society's beliefs though, which is what I'd rather avoid doing from now on. It's never done me any good anyway. At some point you have to start trying something different right? It's just common sense. It's hard to beat the programming but I don't have a choice anymore I think. Don't misinterpret that as me saying I want to be a cabin in the woods hermit or anything like that (nothing wrong with the monk lifestyle though, quite the opposite, it's cool), what I'm really talking about is working/interacting with people on my own terms, actually setting boundaries for once in my life, that kind of stuff. I know there will be consequences and Ls but it's still better than breaking down so badly that I'd end up dead or sentenced to life in prison
