Do these people "know" what they are? Because many times I have perceived people who weren't human one way or the other, but they seem to be oblivious to the fact. They're like "possessing themselves" in a way. Possibly because their actual nature is locked in their subconscious or held hostage by their shadow (trauma conditioning).
