Then what is your alternative? The only thing you seemed to suggest was that one person should write projects, which seems even worse for anything that’s not a small project.

Why specifically internet infrastructure and what is the way to write stuff? This is a nitpick, but I’d imagine stuff like developing self-driving cars or AAA game development might require a different form of organization. Sure a lot of people on tech might view those things as botnet or cancer, but saying “don’t make it” doesn’t really answer the question “how should you best organize a team to make it”. I’m not saying that agile/scrum is the solution, but a small group of programmers with little organization would be either.
