>only tuppers should play

That's kind of what I was thinking and so maybe Joy could DM because she's pretty impartial and serious (and also brutal), and I hope we can make it reasonably fun if I played too but we're still on the fence about that.

The only reason I didn't say that before is because I'm not sure if Cat actually talks.

Now we don't have to play ourselves, we don't have to be human, but I would play myself for the most part.

Another thing we will change is we don't feel like expressed alignments are necessary, it's more organic to just play how you want and the DM will keep track of perceived alignments from fame and infamy.

for example, if you're constantly breaking the law, you will gain a reputation for lawlessness and might gain a bounty. If you constantly perform evil acts like attacking other adventurers or neutral parties, then you will gain infamy. In either of the above cases, you might be denied services at towns and shops or charged more or even be run out or barred from town. Just saying "I'm evil" or "I'm good" seems really restrictive. Someone like Alice could for instance be secretly evil, perform evil acts at will, but eliminate the witnesses and cover her tracks. She could be viewed as a hero and still be completely villainous.

So I recommend you talk to your girlie and look up character classes and I'm sure you can find a bootleg player's handbook online to help with that.

Another thing, for my sake, I don't think there are explicitly any "necromancer" classes so we would allow unique classes to be created, but you'll have to develop a fair and comparable skill tree etc. We're not in any rush at all so if it takes days or weeks to even get started, that's fine. We want to read the dungeon master's guide and player's handbook ourselves.
