Anyone here interested in lock picking? I ordered a kit today. I wonder how many things I can steal with my soon to be new super power.

I was more thinking of picking something along the lines of a womans gym locker and collecting panties at the swimming pool. I'm not sure how realistic it is. I don't care for materialistic things like money or electronics. Though I suppose phones might have pictures on them.

I am, and I have been for as long as I can remember. I've watched tons of Youtube videos on picking. I've never actually picked up a set of picks, though, which is weird, since lockpicking isn't supposed to be a spectator sport. When you get your kit, let us know how it goes. Maybe you could even post some webbums.

what kind of store would sell lockpicks? I am interested too but I don't want to buy shit online.

You can try looking up ways to make your own using pins and things I guess. I don't think you're likely to find them in stores. You'd just have to search the websites of local stores to see if they stock them or otherwise go snooping around stores IRL.

Isn't lock picking supposed to be very slow? If you try doing it in a women's changeroom, someone will come in while you in the middle of it and freak out. You'd want to do it somewhere where you are guaranteed a long period of privacy, and where you can look inconspicuous if someone walks in on you.

Not at all from the videos I've been watching. There are many different locks and 99% of them are absolute shit. Even some of the "high end" and very expensive locks can be "raked" where you basically just jam a special pick in and out of them and they can almost instantly pop open. It's so quick and simple it would just look like you unlocked it with a key. Only on some locks do you actually need to actively set each of the pins individually. Look up some "raking" lock pick videos and you'll see what I mean.
