I use a VPN for everything but yeah, not really looking for a new imageboard outside onion.
I still lurk in 2 huge clearnet ibs(8ch and a regional one w ~6000ppd), but clearnet ibs are prone to failure.
Kinda funny, because in onion mods can't really ban people but the low entry barrier is just too much for your average retard.

I never knew so much imageboards existed. Do they try to be under radar from typical channers or just lack proper advertisement?

Good luck. Even imageboards using lynxchan or vichan usually have their own forks, frontends or configs that differ with each other, and for the rest they each have their own software, some (like nanochan) without an API so you have to scrape HTML, and others on completely different protocols
