If you look at cases prosecuted by the same DA there are plenty of people that got 25-30 years w/o parole for sexual assault based on the testimony of one person alone -- so yes a judge will likely believe her testimony (especially since she's a minor and if it's backed by a forensic interviewer).

I legitimately can't think of a way he can get out of this: he's a McDonald's wagie so he can't claim that she had an incentive to lie, and her mom is a former judge in a different county so she likely doesn't have any clout whatsoever in McAllen. I think he should enjoy his freedom while he still has it.
