i think marky and him were fucking on-off as far back as 2018, before he probably knew ken, so i'm not sure any of it is related to sex.
my best guess is that he was distressed marky cheated on him, and possibly upset at ken's subsequent rejection (assuming that happened), so pitting them against each other was his solution to this. if he already had manipulative tendencies, it's not a stretch to imagine him continuing with that sort of reaction.
