There is a reason why the Democrats have tried so hard thus far to prevent any Socialist from getting into power. It's because of the national debt, a Socialist would be the end of America as a concept. The current deficit is well over a trillion, so their proposals of taxing billionaires would really do fuck all, especially when taking into account the fact that they'd easily double or triple the deficit with all the welfare and social programs they'd introduce in conjunction with the loss of GDP from Lefty economic policies, the loss of technological development would also be quite tragic as that's what gives America its edge.
