This is what that French guy got wrong as well. She was likely not some heavily abused girl from a poor environment. Statistically people with bpd, especially women are 90% likely to try to commit suicide. And even though this is tragic, these things often happen in these circles. She had a better environment than 99% of the world. In the US people like this have a high chance of dying from Fentanyl overdose or take to streets to prostitute themselves. I saw an x post about a man selling his GF that was 10+ years younger for example, that story to me is more tragic than this.
She was an Middle class UK national, these people have access to the best health care int he world. Imagine her being from the global south or any East Block country. Realistically, there was nothing her family or friends could have done much better IMO.
