I believe that us not getting anything out of it is not because we're not perfume nerds, but rather because her writing itself is soulless, it has no actual substance, it's made from a repeated use of a thesaurus.
Reading it is like looking at slam poetry. It's fine to like it, but it's stupid to consider it "good".
