The "betrayal" comes from her not wanting him to fap, and him wanting to do it. Nothing there suggests that he's addicted in any way. Shit, maybe she "wasn't in the mood" for sex for 2+ weeks, so he was super pent up.
If you tell me he fapped 5 times per day, fapped instead of having sex, fapped instead of going to work, spent 4 hours per day fapping, or something like that, I'll agree it might be an addiction. But otherwise it really just sounds like a normal libido.
