What do you think makeup is for? It is to attract the opposite sex. Its purpose is blatantly sexual, even more so than wearing revealing clothes (at least there is some utility from clothes).

And I'm not even talking that a little bit of makeup makes a whore. A little bit of eyeliner doesn't make a whore, but being caked with makeup, wasting half an hour on makeup makes a whore. And Ken is obviously drifting in the latter direction.
