When assessing the evil of an action we always go based on intent. If you attempt to murder someone but fail you are still evil. She knew what she was doing, her intent was to lie and deceive these guys who were clearly in love with her to get attention out of them, and I'm sure some are hurt by that. It doesn't take away from who she really is, she is not a good person.
