Turadh came to a situation that was sus, and he investigated. Who wouldn't, on a situation as publicly available as a /r9k/ namefag situation? And Kam poisoned the well. Every first impression, and these are early in the logs, which are publicly available now, gave the impression of a liar and a manipulator. Yet, when these DMs were made available to Ika in their fullest, her first reaction was to assume a creepy stalker, not that Kam had sold her under the river. And Kam? To buy into it, to be the faithful protector.
But what both failed to realize that this was an act of jealousy, and of love. Ika, to protect Kam's pursuit and downplay other sutiors, and Kam, to follow that, without realizing what was laid out for him.
