Something for the Techneets: Jaycar sells USB-C Power breakouts (PP2080, PP2081) which can be hardwired to output a number of voltages (depending on your power supply) like 5v 9v 12v 15v 18v 20v, and at up to 5A.
..which is perfect for making older laptops USB-C rechargeable. 12v-recharging devices (handheld radios, etc.) can use it too..
