I found a parcel next to my front door yesterday evening. I hadn't been expecting anything. I think it might have been there since last week. I haven't been out the front in a while.

The parcel was clearly marked for a house further down the street. This is the first time the van postie has messed up like this.

I walked the parcel down to the house it was meant to go to. I was just going to leave it on the porch but the front door was open - just the screen door was closed - and these two massive dogs started barking at me and going nuts so I didn't think I should drop the parcel and leave since it might make me look suspicious or something so I waited while these shoulder-high monster dogs barked at me through a thin layer of fly screen, but no-one from inside came to the door to see why their dogs were going spacko so I had to press the doorbell and it was one of those ring ones with the camera and when I pressed it it started saying something to me but I couldn't understand it because of the deafening noise from the dogs so I just dropped the parcel on the mat and got out of there.

It was a bit of an ordeal.
