Please be careful if booking it through a travel company, as when COVID hit a few travel companies went in and didn't honour what people paid for in their packages. Good idea to inspiration on how to structure the journey though, but book the expensive items direct with the airline companies etc.
Also keep an eye out for a fee free banking cards when completing international transactions. I have talked about these jews before HSBC have a pretty good card if traveling overseas called "everyday global" transaction account>$0 monthly account fee>$0 transaction fees
If your current bank supports fast transfer payment schedule (2 minutes bank to bank transfer if you have transferred money previously), you can pay with them for no international transaction fee. Good for shopping in foreign currencies in Australia too.
There are better cards out there, but that has no monthly fee and is a debit card with no international currency fees. You can pay overseas in AUD that is converted to local currency at no cost I believe so no sneaky 3.5% charges
