I find it's tolerable up to Windows 7, but that's when it stops. At least with the older Windblows operating systems you can somewhat "reverse engineer" and de-bloat them via System Admin tools, registry editor and whatever process manager you use. Which is exactly what I did for my Vista and it works very very well. Uses very little CPU even when I have multiple software programs running. As far as office software? You can get an older pirated Microsoft Office or better yet get the open-sourced LibreOffice for free which will do anything Microsoft Office can do.
