Just engage her, talk to her, be persistent. You will know if she avoids you or not. If you are persistent about asking her out on a date and she is interested she will eventually say yes as long as you don't give up right away. If not she will start to avoid you and you will notice her rejection. If it doesn't work out do not sweat it, try to find someone else who may be interested in you. Plenty of other women out there. Some play harder to get than others.
