>>74898Night of the Living Dead (1968) was Romero's first zombie movie, followed by the sequels Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Day of the Dead (1985). He remade a few of these over the years but the remakes got nothing on the originals, all the originals top notch classics. I would also have to say Zombie (1979) was very good too and although it was not a Romero film it still had the same vibe and genre of Romero's original series and if no one knew any better could have easily passed as a sequel too.
The most ironic thing is low budgets do not make a movie bad. I have seen million dollar productions that flopped and end up being horrible. What makes a good movie is the dedication of the actors and a really good intriguing story line that keeps the viewers in suspense. Some of my favorite movies are ones without a popular celebrity and tend to be older independent low budget films.
