In China they'll allow you to buy a home. What they will not allow you to do is buy up whole neighborhoods all over the place, in order to price gouge people via cornering the housing market for hundreds of thousands of rental properties. In China they crack down on financial predators. They won't allow carte blanche monopolization and corruption of the market place, rightly so.
