>Inhaled toluene acts as a robust discriminative stimulus [85,86] and also produces CNS depressant-like [15,45,77], amphetamine-like [14], and PCP-like discriminative effects [25]. Similar to other CNS depressant drugs, toluene has anxiolytic-like propertis [24,63,74], anticonvulsant effects [26,29,31,35,96], and impairs locomotor coordination [28,89].
