Feel for you.
Earlier this year I slapped a wasp in the air. Couldn't find it after so just went on with my business. It survived and started to crawl around the floor and I did not notice. Until it crawled to my chair and I placed a foot on it. Since I did not step, just moved my leg, it had plenty of time to sting the middle of my sole.
