the current status is that he has, sadly, not been in a state yet where he can be awakened - numerous surgeries have followed, the positive news is that medication is very slowly getting lowered in amount by the doctors, and that he is able to breathe by himself

i'm going back to france soon with a few of us who were present at that moment of him crashing & to keep in touch with his parents
