I think you need to look at the concept of Rick and Morty in its entirety. The show comes from a short of some old man forcing a child to lick his balls, plus some other random shorts that nobody cares about. CN, seeing this oh-so-edgy bullshit, gave the creator an outlet. But even with the opportunity and the visible potential of what the show became, the creator was then given the opportunity to sell out by making a Family Guy clone about aliens. So, from pedo trash to potential to easy cash grab. It's trash, anon. It's always been trash.
