It is important to master basic consciousness in order to get more advanced consciousness. Maturity in terms of consciousness is a (never ending) process that is achieved when the most basic conscious patterns are combined properly. It is not possible to understand/master high consciousness (highest consciousness,enlightenment) without a proper level of basic consciousness. It is a building up progress.
